90kW Commercial Solar Installation, Barnsley

Manchester Renewables installed a 90kW commercial solar PV system across multiple industrial unit rooftops in Barnsley. The project involved fitting over 200 high-efficiency Tier 1 panels across the pitched and flat roof sections of a busy trading estate.

The system was designed to maximise coverage across the available roof space, with panels carefully positioned to avoid shading from adjacent buildings and rooftop plant. Our team worked around the estate's operating hours to minimise disruption to the tenants.

With a system this size, the business can expect to generate approximately 80,000 kWh of clean electricity per year — enough to significantly offset daytime energy consumption across the site and deliver a payback period of around 4-5 years at current energy prices.
