100kW Factory Solar Installation, Greater Manchester

Manchester Renewables installed a 100kW commercial solar PV system on a large factory roof in Greater Manchester. Rows of panels run the full length of the building, taking advantage of the expansive flat roof to deliver one of our bigger industrial installations.

At 100kW, this system is estimated to generate around 85,000 kWh of clean electricity per year. For a factory running during daylight hours, that represents a serious dent in the electricity bill — with most of the energy consumed on-site rather than exported to the grid.

Larger systems like this benefit from economies of scale, bringing the per-kW cost down and improving the return on investment. Combined with Enhanced Capital Allowances, the business can deduct the full cost from taxable profits in year one, making the net investment even more attractive.
