50kW Factory Solar Installation, Greater Manchester

Manchester Renewables installed a 50kW commercial solar PV system on a factory roof in Greater Manchester. The flat roof provided an ideal surface for a large array of panels, mounted on ballasted frames and angled to maximise generation throughout the year.

Factories are well suited to solar — their large, unobstructed roof areas allow for bigger systems, and their energy usage is concentrated during working hours when solar generation is at its peak. This means more of the electricity produced is used on-site, keeping self-consumption high and payback short.

The system was designed to offset a significant chunk of the factory's daytime electricity demand, reducing reliance on the grid and protecting against rising energy costs. Our team completed the installation with no disruption to the factory's production schedule.
