What data we collect

When you fill in the contact form on our website, we collect the following information:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• Your message or enquiry details

If you use our Solar Savings Calculator and then request a survey, we also receive:

• Your house number or name, together with the postcode you entered — in other words, your address
• The outline of the roof you drew on the map, and the coordinates of that outline
• The roof details you selected (pitch, orientation and shading) and whether you asked about battery storage

Taken together this identifies your property, so we treat the whole enquiry as personal data and handle it the same way as any other enquiry.

We do not collect any personal data from you unless you actively submit it through one of our forms or get in touch with us directly. You can use the Solar Savings Calculator and see your full estimate without giving us any contact details; nothing is sent to us unless you choose to request a survey.

How we use your data

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your enquiry
• Arrange a site survey or consultation
• Provide you with a quote for our services
• Follow up on your enquiry if needed

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How your data is processed

Our contact form submissions are processed through Web3Forms, a third-party form handling service. When you submit the form, your data is sent securely to Web3Forms, which then forwards it to us by email. Survey requests made through the Solar Savings Calculator are handled the same way, and include the roof measurements described above. Web3Forms does not store your submission data permanently. The Solar Savings Calculator and mapping

Our Solar Savings Calculator uses two external services, and neither of them is contacted until you actively start the tool. If you simply visit the page and do not press “Start”, no map is loaded and no data leaves your browser.

• postcodes.io — a free UK postcode lookup service. The postcode you type is sent to it in order to find the map location. No other information is sent, and we do not send it your name or contact details. See postcodes.io.
• Google Maps — provides the satellite imagery. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and the area of the map being displayed, in line with Google’s privacy policy.

The roof outline you draw stays in your browser and is only sent to us if you go on to request a survey. The estimate the calculator produces is an indicative guide only and is not a quotation.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies for the following purposes:

• Essential cookies — these are needed for the website to function properly, such as remembering your preferences during a browsing session.
• Analytics cookies — we may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site. This helps us improve the experience. Analytics data is collected anonymously and does not identify you personally.

Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it. If you contact us for a quote and we complete the work, we will retain your details for up to six years in line with our legal and contractual obligations. If you enquire but do not go ahead, we will delete your data within 12 months unless you ask us to keep it on file.
